Welcome to Flying Arrow's Set Diary! This is the place to see updates to our current movie projects.
Dissapointed
It stinks, but there isn't anything I can do about it.
With the Storyboarding held up, we've proceeded to the next part on the list; Character Design.
Now, without casting, this stage can be kind of frustrating. There are, technically, only four human actors on the screen. But, there are the animals and the star, the Gingerbread Boy, who needs to be sketched out so when the time comes, the actors will get some idea of what they are supposed to be looking at. Unfortunately I have yet to decide what is going to be CG and what isn't. The GIngerbread Boy is a given, but what about the Fox, the Cow, and the Horse? Would it be easier to get live animals or puppets or animate them? Such are the problems facing the Producer; into which role I have rather reluctantly stepped for lack of anyone else.
As with Storyboards, I will post the few preliminary designs we have when I have the chance. The Creeping Crud has been going around and all of my staff (me included) have come down with a nasty cold.
More updates as they come!

Here we go! The screenplay has FINALLY been completed and reviewed, and the first storyboards have been drawn.
Unfortunately, we've hit a snag.
Our resident artist (my sis) has gotten disenchanted with the storyboarding and hasn't completed more than few pages. Not that I really need another storyboard, but her drawing looks nicer. I'll scan some examples when I can.
Other than that, the pre-production has been going surprisingly smooth. I only hope I can speed things up and actually shoot something!
See you on the Set!
